The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He was one of the founders of modern functional analysis, and an original member of the Lwów School of Mathematics.
- His major work was the 1932 book, Théorie des opérations linéaires, the first monograph on the general theory of functional analysis.
- Born in Kraków to a family of Goral descent, Banach showed a keen interest in mathematics and engaged in solving mathematical problems during school recess.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Stefan Banach article was read about 52,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 69 and blocks with 71: each hit it takes is cut by 28 %.
