The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- During a Sothic cycle, the 365-day year loses enough time that the start of its year once again coincides with the heliacal rising of the star Sirius on 19 July in the Julian calendar.
- It is an important aspect of Egyptology, particularly with regard to reconstructions of the Egyptian calendar and its history.
- Astronomical records of this displacement may have been responsible for the later establishment of the more accurate Julian and Alexandrian calendars.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Sothic cycle article was read about 13,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 62 and blocks with 41: each hit it takes is cut by 16 %.
