The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- All forms are white, odorless, water-soluble salts that yield alkaline solutions in water.
- Historically, it was extracted from the ashes of plants grown in sodium-rich soils, and because the ashes of these sodium-rich plants were noticeably different from ashes of wood, sodium carbonate became known as "soda ash".
- It is produced in large quantities from sodium chloride and limestone by the Solvay process, as well as by carbonating sodium hydroxide which is made using the chloralkali process.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Sodium carbonate article was read about 280,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 71 and blocks with 65: each hit it takes is cut by 26 %.
