The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Of dramatically variable appearance and extreme sexual dimorphism, they comprise the infraorder Coccomorpha which is considered a more convenient grouping than the superfamily Coccoidea due to taxonomic uncertainties.
- Adult females typically have soft bodies and no limbs, and are concealed underneath domed scales, extruding quantities of wax for protection.
- Some species are hermaphroditic, with a combined ovotestis instead of separate ovaries and testes.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Scale insect article was read about 97,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 76 and blocks with 78: each hit it takes is cut by 31 %.
