The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The flaps are stowed during normal vehicle operation, however, in certain situations, e.g., if the vehicle goes into a spin, particularly if it is facing backwards, the flaps deploy to disrupt the air flow over the roof and reduce the lift force on the vehicle.
- Roof flaps were first required in 1994.
- NASCAR now mandates that cars in the Cup and O'Reilly series have two roof flaps positioned near the rear of the vehicle, with the left flap oriented perpendicular to the length of the car and the right flap angled 45° counter-clockwise from the left flap.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Roof flap article was read about 4,800 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 49 and blocks with 18: each hit it takes is cut by 7 %.
