The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Rice is the seed of the grass species Oryza sativa, or, less commonly, Oryza glaberrima.
- Asian rice was domesticated in China some 13,500 to 8,200 years ago, African rice was domesticated independently in West Africa about 3,000 years ago.
- Rice has become commonplace in many cultures worldwide, in 2023, 800 million tons were produced, placing it third after sugarcane and maize.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Rice article was read about 460,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 85 and blocks with 94: each hit it takes is cut by 38 %.
How to get Rice
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
