The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- While their endoskeletons are mainly cartilaginous, their head and thorax were covered by articulated armoured plates, and the rest of the body was scaled or naked depending on the species.
- Placoderms were among the first jawed fish, as well as the first vertebrates to have true teeth.
- They were also the first fish clade to develop pelvic fins, the second set of paired fins and the homologous precursor to hindlimbs in tetrapods.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Placoderm article was read about 78,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 74 and blocks with 68: each hit it takes is cut by 27 %.
