Photinini, a Common card

The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.

• Photinus pyralis is famous in biotechnology for its luciferase gene.
• This is sometimes employed as a marker gene, genetically modified organisms which contain it start to glow like the firefly when brought in contact with a luciferin-containing medium.
• Firefly luciferases differ slightly between taxa, resulting in differently colored light and other properties, and in most cases where "firefly luciferase" is used in some application or study, it is the specific luciferase of P. pyralis.

Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Photinini article was read about 960 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 43 and blocks with 13: each hit it takes is cut by 5 %.

Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
