The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Prior to 1990, the competition was known as the Victorian Football League.
- It was first presented in the 1979 VFL Grand Final, and it was won by Wayne Harmes, playing in Carlton's premiership victory against Collingwood.
- The award is named in honour of Norm Smith, who won four VFL premierships as a player and six as coach for the Melbourne Football Club.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Norm Smith Medal article was read about 48,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 74 and blocks with 75: each hit it takes is cut by 30 %.
