The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Modern kana consists of two sets of syllabaries: hiragana, used primarily for native or naturalized Japanese words and grammatical elements, and katakana, used primarily for foreign names, loanwords, onomatopoeia, scientific terminology and sometimes for emphasis.
- A third set, hentaigana, are historical variants of the now-standard hiragana, and are still sometimes used for stylistic purposes.
- Almost all written Japanese sentences contain a mixture of kanji and kana.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Japanese writing system article was read about 240,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 74 and blocks with 46: each hit it takes is cut by 18 %.
