The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- By 1000 BC, civilizations used technologies that would eventually form the basis of the various branches of chemistry.
- Examples include the discovery of fire, extracting metals from ores, making pottery and glazes, fermenting beer and wine, extracting chemicals from plants for medicine and perfume, rendering fat into soap, making glass, and making alloys like bronze.
- The protoscience of chemistry, alchemy, was unsuccessful in explaining the nature of matter and its transformations.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The History of chemistry article was read about 46,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 92 and blocks with 87: each hit it takes is cut by 35 %.
