The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Traditional Japanese haiku consist of three phrases composed of 17 morae in a 5, 7, 5 pattern that include a kireji or "cutting word" and a kigo or seasonal reference.
- However, haiku by classical Japanese poets, such as Matsuo Bashō, also deviate from the 17-on pattern and sometimes do not contain a kireji.
- Similar poems that do not adhere to these rules are generally classified as senryū.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Haiku article was read about 320,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 75 and blocks with 72: each hit it takes is cut by 29 %.
How to get Haiku
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
