The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Hagfish are the only known living animals that have a skull but no vertebral column, however, they do have rudimentary vertebrae.
- Hagfish are marine predators and scavengers that can defend themselves against other larger predators by releasing copious amounts of slime from mucous glands in their skin.
- Although their exact relationship to the only other living group of jawless fish, the lampreys, was initially the subject of controversy, genetic evidence suggests that hagfish and lampreys are more closely related to each other than to jawed vertebrates, thus forming the superclass Cyclostomi.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Hagfish article was read about 200,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 80 and blocks with 88: each hit it takes is cut by 35 %.
How to get Hagfish
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
