The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He was a mathematics professor at the University of Jena, and is understood by many to be the father of analytic philosophy, concentrating on the philosophy of language, logic, and mathematics.
- Though he was largely ignored during his lifetime, Giuseppe Peano, Bertrand Russell, and, to some extent, Ludwig Wittgenstein introduced his work to later generations of philosophers.
- Frege is widely considered to be one of the greatest logicians since Aristotle, and one of the most profound philosophers of mathematics ever.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Gottlob Frege article was read about 100,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 76 and blocks with 65: each hit it takes is cut by 26 %.
