The facts on the card

The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.

Its purported etymology is based on either Latin ferula / Calabrian ferruggia or Arabic farrūj / Maltese farruġ.
Early in the Middle Ages, individuals with this family name moved to the island of Malta from neighbouring Sicily.
Many settlers were recorded from the end of the 19th century in the great migration from Italy to the New World.

Why it is Common

Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Farrugia article was read about 2,500 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 46 and blocks with 18: each hit it takes is cut by 7 %.
