The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The First Crusade was proclaimed by Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont in November 1095, a call to arms for Christians to reconquer Jerusalem from the Muslims, with promises of spiritual reward.
- By this time, the papacy's position as head of the Catholic Church had strengthened, and earlier conflicts with secular rulers and wars on the frontiers of Western Christendom had prepared it for the direction of armed force in religious causes.
- The successes of the First Crusade led to the establishment of four Crusader states in the Levant, whose defence required further expeditions from Catholic Europe.
Why it is Legendary
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Crusades article was read about 1,500,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 89 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
