The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- They originate from outside the Solar System, from the Milky Way, from distant galaxies, and from the Sun.
- Upon impact with Earth's atmosphere, cosmic rays produce showers of secondary particles, some of which reach the surface, although the bulk are deflected into space by Earth's magnetic field or by the heliosphere.
- Cosmic rays were discovered by Victor Hess in 1912 in balloon experiments, for which he was awarded the 1936 Nobel Prize in Physics.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Cosmic ray article was read about 140,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 86 and blocks with 92: each hit it takes is cut by 37 %.
How to get Cosmic ray
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
