The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Their total population is now only about 1,500 to 2,100 people, down from approximately 15,000 in the mid-16th century, when the Spanish crushed their ancient civilization, of which there are still some archeological remains.
- They speak the Cofán language, which they call Aʼingae.
- The ancestral land, community health and social cohesion of Cofan communities in Ecuador has been severely damaged by several decades of oil drilling.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Cofán people article was read about 5,800 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 61 and blocks with 47: each hit it takes is cut by 19 %.
