The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- On May 20–21, 1927, he made the first nonstop flight from New York to Paris, a distance of 3,600 miles, flying alone for over 33 hours.
- His aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis, was built to compete for the $25,000 Orteig Prize for the first flight between the two cities.
- Although not the first transatlantic flight, it was the first solo crossing of the Atlantic and the longest at the time by nearly 2,000 miles, setting a new flight distance world record.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Charles Lindbergh article was read about 880,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 96 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
