The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Although he published only two books of poetry during his lifetime, he is considered one of the great poetic innovators of the 20th century in any language.
- Thomas Merton called him "the greatest universal poet since Dante".
- The late British poet, critic and biographer Martin Seymour-Smith, a leading authority on world literature, called Vallejo "the greatest twentieth-century poet in any language." He was a member of the intellectual community called North Group formed in the Peruvian north coastal city of Trujillo.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The César Vallejo article was read about 28,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 69 and blocks with 51: each hit it takes is cut by 20 %.
