The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- They have a varied history, from use for irrigation and transport, through becoming the focus of the Industrial Revolution, to today's role of recreational boating.
- Despite a period of abandonment, today the canal system in the United Kingdom is again increasing in use, with abandoned and derelict canals being reopened, and the construction of some new routes.
- Canals in England and Wales are maintained by navigation authorities.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Canals of the United Kingdom article was read about 62,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 67 and blocks with 55: each hit it takes is cut by 22 %.
