The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Their mass is approximately 13 to 80 times that of Jupiter, not big enough to sustain nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium in their cores, but massive enough to emit some light and heat from deuterium fusion, 2H, an isotope of hydrogen with a neutron as well as a proton, that can undergo fusion at lower temperatures.
- The most massive ones can fuse lithium.
- Astronomers classify self-luminous objects by spectral type, a distinction intimately tied to the surface temperature -- brown dwarfs occupy types M, L, T, and Y.
Why it is Rare
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Brown dwarf article was read about 230,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 92 and blocks with 83: each hit it takes is cut by 33 %.
