The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It was first recorded as being played in Bath around 1904.
- The Bath Club and Portland Club met in 1908 and issued a super-set of rules for Bridge that covered the bidding and penalty for failing to make a contract in Auction Bridge.
- Early forms were rudimentary and unbalanced and the British and Americans could not agree over the bidding ranking and use of artificial bids, resulting in The Whist Club of New York and The Portland Club issuing competing sets of rules.
Why it is Common
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Auction bridge article was read about 13,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 50 and blocks with 27: each hit it takes is cut by 11 %.
How to get Auction bridge
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
