The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- It was possibly contracted and spread by soldiers who were returning from a campaign in the Near East.
- Scholars generally believed that the plague was smallpox, due to the skin eruptions over the entirety of the body which appeared to be red and black, but recent genetic evidence strongly suggests that the most severe form of smallpox did not arise in Europe until much later.
- Measles has also been suggested as a possible cause.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Antonine Plague article was read about 110,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 68 and blocks with 54: each hit it takes is cut by 22 %.
