The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The primary purpose of ATC is to prevent collisions, organise and expedite the flow of air traffic, and provide information and other support for pilots.
- In some countries, ATC can also provide advisory services to aircraft in non-controlled airspace.
- Controllers monitor the location of aircraft in their assigned airspace using radar and communicate with pilots by radio.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Air traffic control article was read about 120,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 76 and blocks with 66: each hit it takes is cut by 26 %.
