The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- He was the first European to reach New Zealand, which he named Staten Landt.
- He also discovered and was the eponym of Tasmania.
- Likely born in 1602 or 1603 in Lutjegast, Netherlands, Tasman started his career as a merchant seaman and became a skilled navigator.
Why it is Uncommon
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Abel Tasman article was read about 150,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 74 and blocks with 81: each hit it takes is cut by 32 %.
