The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- The platypus is the sole living representative of the family Ornithorhynchidae and genus Ornithorhynchus, though a number of related species appear in the fossil record.
- Together with the four species of echidna, it is one of the five extant species of monotremes, mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young.
- Like other monotremes, the platypus has a sense of electrolocation, which it uses to detect prey in water while its eyes, ears and nostrils are closed.
Why it is Epic
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Platypus article was read about 970,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 83 and blocks with 100: each hit it takes is cut by 40 %.
