The facts on the card
The card carries these facts from its Wikipedia article.
- Conceived by sports writers Gabriel Hanot and Jacques Ferran, the Ballon d'Or was based exclusively on voting by football journalists up until 2006.
- Originally, it was awarded only to players from Europe and was also known as the European Footballer of the Year award.
- In 1995, the Ballon d'Or was expanded to include all players of any origin active at European clubs.
Why it is Legendary
Rarity in WikiCards follows a year of Wikipedia page views: the most read articles become Epic and Legendary cards. The Ballon d'Or article was read about 3,600,000 times in a year. ATK comes from the length of the article and DEF from its quality, so this card hits with 87 and blocks with 85: each hit it takes is cut by 34 %.
How to get Ballon d'Or
Open packs. Each pack holds five cards drawn from real Wikipedia articles, the rarest last, and the fifth card is always Rare or better. The odds are shown in the game. A free pack arrives every hour and two can wait, and the Coins you win in duels buy more packs.
